We’re leaving. We’re moving. We’re uprooting and transitioning. We are stepping out in faith and we’re taking our kids with us. Grief. Loss. Death. Joy. Abundance. Life.I have experienced all 6 of these things and can say that, because of my faith, I live with peace amidst the uncertainty surrounding why certain things happen. Why certain people are taken from us. Why certain babies get to be held. Why others never are conceived, some are never born and why some are born only to live for a few moments, hours or weeks. We are down to the 'lasts' - last Christmas in BC, last Family Day in BC, last few birthdays in BC and, at the end of this week we celebrate this incredibly sweet, big-hearted Valentines baby. It is hard to believe that he'll be 5 and I will write a more lengthy reflection on the awesomeness and perfectly weird weirdness that is Jacob later in the week but, for now I just wanted to share these photos that capture some of his fantastic quirks.
