Personal Support – Practical Ways To Support Our Family

We didn’t move half-way around the world for the shopping opportunities, that’s for sure. The remoteness of our location with a young family of four makes for some challenges. Things like children’s toothpaste, good quality bandaids, specialty medications, children’s clothes & many other items are just not available and have to be shipped to us. If you would like to partner with us in practical ways, here are some ways to do just that!

 

Send Us A Care Package

We are ever so grateful for your hand-crafted parcels of love! Each package is a sweet taste of home, and a touching expression of love that we as a family appreciate so much!

Care Packages - How To Send A Parcel


Step 1: Purchase/Package your items
• If you are unsure what to send or what is needed, refer to Anita’s list 

Step 2: Coordinate with Anita’s mother, Shelley. She will help ensure it finds the best way here.

Step 3: Include necessary shipping fees
• 0-20lbs = approx $65, 20lbs+ flat rate = approx $90

Step 4: Packing Tips to ensure safe arrival of your package
• Tape that package up like crazy! The more tape, the less likely it will be opened before we receive it.
• Send It early! It will take at least a month to get here.
• Package food airtight. Put food in ziplock bags placed IN tupperware to ensure it arrives safely and unspoiled.
• Remove tags & wash clothes to avoid any hassles with import customs.

Step 1: Go to the Amazon website

Step 2: Shop for the items you’d like to send
• If you are unsure what to send or what is needed, refer to Anita’s list

Step 3: During the checkout process, change the “Ship To” address:

Step 1: Go to the apple.ca website (https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/gift-cards/itunes-electronic)

Step 2: Fill out the purchase form
• Choose the amount you’d like to gift
